We will use Zoom to run Heteropar 2020 as a live online event. Below is the important technical information for all participants of this event:

HeteroPar'2020 and COVID-19 pandemic

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, HeteroPar'2020 will be held as a virtual event.

The accepted papers need to be presented by one author in order to be included in the proceedings. Two formats of paper presentations will be possible:

  • Streaming presentations
  • Slides and pre-recorded video presentations

The International Workshop on Algorithms, Models and Tools for Parallel Computing on Heterogeneous Platforms (HeteroPar'2020) will be held, in its eighteenth edition in Warsaw, Poland. For the eleventh time, this workshop is organized in conjunction with the EURO-PAR annual series of international conferences dedicated to the promotion and advancement of all aspects of parallel computing.

Workshop scope

Authors are encouraged to submit original, unpublished research or overviews on Algorithms, Models and Tools for Parallel Computing on Heterogeneous Platforms, namely addressing the topics referred above.

The topics to be covered include but are not limited to:

  • Heterogeneous parallel programming paradigms and models;
  • Scheduling on heterogeneous resources;
  • Languages, libraries, and interfaces for different heterogeneous parallel programming models;
  • Performance models and their integration into the design of efficient parallel algorithms for heterogeneous platforms;
  • Parallel algorithms for heterogeneous and/or hierarchical systems, including manycores and hardware accelerators (e.g. FPGAs, GPUs, AI accelerators);
  • Parallel algorithms for efficient problem solving on heterogeneous platforms (e.g. numerical linear algebra, nonlinear systems, fast transforms, computational biology, data mining, artificial intelligence, multimedia);
  • Software engineering for heterogeneous parallel systems;
  • Real-world applications on heterogeneous platforms;
  • Algorithms, models and tools for energy optimization on heterogeneous platforms;
  • Multi-objective optimization of applications on heterogeneous platforms;
  • Integration of parallel and distributed computing on heterogeneous platforms;
  • Experience of porting parallel software from supercomputers to heterogeneous platforms;
  • Fault tolerance of parallel computations on heterogeneous platforms.
